Services for Jessie James Ross, 80, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Progressive Baptist Church with Homer Avery officiating.
Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Lorenzo under the direction of Brocks South Plains Funeral Directors of Lubbock.
He died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001.
He was born June 19, 1920, in Huntsville. He worked in construction after moving to Lubbock.
Survivors include three sons, Albert Sr. of Lubbock, Charles of Fresno, Calif., and Tracey Jenkins; three daughters, Peggy McGruder and Ms. David Rena Jordon, both of Fort Worth, and Cynthia Scruggs of Lubbock; four stepchildren, Hulon, Harold and Janet Easter and Jackquline Smith; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A wake will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Tull Thornton Jr. Chapel of Brocks South Plains Funeral Directors in Lubbock.
