U.S.Flag   Lawrence Douglas Lawrence Earl Douglas, 64, of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012.

He was born January 7, 1948 to James D. Douglas and Dorothy Walker in Shreverport, La. He attended Lorenzo High School and later joined the United States Army. Lawrence worked for Lubbock Compress.

He is survived by Edna Douglas and Hazel Douglas; six children, Tobias Douglas, Larry Douglas, Cedric Douglas, Tihisia Mathis, Shelton Douglas, and Africa Douglas; nine grandchildren; a special friend, Ruby Nell Manahan; a host of relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Family will receive friends from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Griffin Mortuary.
