WARREN PUETT
News came from Campwood last Thursday that Warren Puett had fallen dead in the street. Mr. Puett used to live in this county and served as sheriff here.

W. PUETT
The funeral services of W. Puett were conducted last Friday
afternoon at 4:30 o'clock by Elder J. E. Mullins of the Church of Christ,
followed yb the Masonic service in charge of J. W. Gildart. Interment was made
in Parksdale cemetery. The attendance at the funeral was the largest ever
assembled at an occasion of this sorrowful nature in the history of the section.
Warren Puett was born in Bell county, July 13 1870. He came
from Cook county to Edwards county in 1896 locating at Barksdale. He married
Miss Bettie Hamrick September 26, 1900. After a short illness he passed away
November 13, 1930.
He is survived by his wife, and three children, J. E. and
Holmes Puett of this city and Mrs. Myrtle Wilbanks of Paint Rock.
In 1921 Mr. Puett came to Camp Wood and embarked in business
and from that day until his death was one of our most prominent business men.
The passing of Warren Puett shrouded many hearts with sorrow.
he was a kind, loving husband and father, and a friend that was steadfast. A
member of the Church of Christ, a Master Mason, a good neighbor and a man whose
charity knew no bounds. We, with hundreds of others mourn his departure. To his
loved ones in their great sorrow, we join a wide circle of friends in extending
sincere condolence. Camp Wood Crony.
Word was received here late Monday night by Mrs. D. P.
Wilbanks that Mrs. Warren Puett had died a few minutes earlier. Mr.
Pruett died on Thursday November 13, and Mrs. Puett died on Monday, November 24.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbanks had planned to attend the funeral
services on Tuesday but on account of Mrs. Wilbanks becoming ill was unable to
attend.
