MRS. MARY JANE MORROW

Mrs. Mary Morrow Called By Death
   
Mrs. Mary Jane Morrow died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. E. Jones at Millersview Saturday night after a lingering illness of eighteen weeks resulting from an operation for appendicitis which was performed two years ago in North Carolina where she had gone on a visit to her childhood home.
    Mrs. Morrow was born in North Carolina January 23, 1853 and came to Texas in 1867. she was married to Mr. Morrow in 1870 and they made their home at Marble Falls for a number of years. To this union were born six children, four boys and two girls, one of the latter dying in infancy. the other five survive their mother and were all at her bedside when she passed away.
    Mr. Morrow died when the children were small.
    After the children all became grown, Mrs. Morrow left Marble Falls and came to Millerview to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. A. E. Jones, with whom she resided until her death with the exception of a few years spent with her sons.
    Mrs. Morrow had been a member of the Methodist church for over fifty years.
    Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church by Rev. L. D. Hardt of Paint Rock and the remains were laid to rest in the Millerview cemetery, The Paint Rock Eastern Star having charge at the grave. The lovely and profuse floral offerings bespoke the high esteem of her many friends and loved ones.
    The surviving children are: C. T. and j. H. Morrow of Sinton, J. T. Morrow of Gainesville, A. G. Morrow and Mrs. A. E. Jones of Millersview. There are also several grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews, Taft Morrow, Joe Harrie and Brink Morrow all of Sinton and a niece, Mrs. Nell Westerman of Valley Springs, attending the funeral.
    The pall bearers were M. C. Cobb of San Angelo, W. T. Stewart, Miller Williams, Dee Grounds, Henry Barr, and G. B. Akers. Flower girls were Peggy Jean Stephens, Emogene Stewart, Gwendolyn Edmonson, and Billie Ethlyn McClure.
