A. W. Linam, County Resident 54 Yrs., Dies

Death came on Christmas Eve to Andy Walker Linam, who was stricken with apoplexy and paralysis about two weeks ago.
Mr. Linam was born December 2, 1865, at Kemper's Bluff, Victoria County, Texas. He, with his parents, came to Concho County in 1878 and settled at Frog Pond before this county was organized. Mr. Linam was one of the few left who recalled the earliest days of this county's existence, and even the days before it came into existence. Several years after they settled here they moved to Edwards County for a time, soon returning to Concho County and settled at the place where he lived continuously until his death.
Mr. Linam was married to Miss Minnie Kemp in 1889. He was engaged in the ranching business all of his life, and was noted for his ability in that line. Unobtrusive, modest and upright, he commanded the respect of his fellowmen as only a few are able to do. He was a man of few words and rare judgment.  He was a constant Bible student and lived and practiced its teachings.
He was buried on Christmas day in the family graveyard on the ranch, where his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Linam, and other relatives are buried. he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Minnie K. Linam, a son, Thomas M. Linam, of the Linam ranch, three daughters, Mrs. Leah McWilliams of Eden, Mrs. Mary Floyd of Baytown, and Mrs. Adena Aillet, of the Linam ranch.
Funeral services were conducted by rev. W. o. Wood of the Presbyterian church at San Angelo.  Arrangements were in charge of Chas. H. Latham of Eden Hardware Company. Pallbearers were: Tom Jacoby, Vesper Hobdy, E. H. Swaim, Jess McGuffin, Minor McVay, and Chas. Schulz.
