Graveside services for Joyce Porier, 77, Pittsburg, are scheduled for 
2 p.m. Tuesday at Ebenezer Cemetery, Camp County, with Duane Turner 
and Rickie Gipson officiating under direction of Erman Smith Funeral 
Home, Pittsburg.

Mrs. Porier died June 25, 2006, in a Pittsburg nursing home.

She was born Aug. 7, 1928, in Gilmer to the late Roy and Lois Garrett 
Gipson. She was a licensed vocational nurse in various area hospitals 
and nursing home, and was a Baptist. 

She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Vicki Efurd; brother, 
Garvis Gipson; and sister, Ester Beck.

Survivors include son, Mike Porier, Houston; daughter, Sue Efurd, 
Pittsburg; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and 
nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are Damon Davis, Jacob Davis, Mark Efurd, Jeremy 
Beck, Larry Brock and Kerry Gipson.

Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
