Mrs. Moody, 94, of Royse City, formerly of Pittsburg, died Thursday, 
August 1, 2013 in Royse City. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, 
August 3, 2013 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve 
Packer and Dr. Paul Strahan officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer 
Cemetery. 

Mrs. Moody was born February 16, 1919 in Commerce to Koss and Gladys Culver 
Lampley.

She is survived by one daughter, Martha Jo Splawn and husband Jim of Fate; 
two grandchildren, Leslie and husband Curtis Knapp of Rockwall and Leigh 
Ann and husband Rev. Paul Strahan of Owensboro, Ky; great-grandchildren, 
Drew and Gabriel Knapp and Anna Leigh and Katherine Strahan; two sisters, 
Dorothy Bothwell and husband James of Garland and Peggy Birchfield and 
husband Kenneth of Carrollton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Huey M. Moody; brother, 
Bobby Ray Lampley; and sister, Shirley and Weldon Richardson.

The family will receive friends from 9–11 a.m. Saturday before the service.
