EBENEZER CEMETERY - CAMP COUNTY PITTSBURG – Daniel "Dan" McNutt, 87, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in Mount Pleasant. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Bro. James Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Camp County under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Billy Joe McNutt, Dr. Larry Jack Richardson, Phil Blood, John McNutt, Jimmy Strube, and Jimmy Graham. Mr. McNutt was born December 9, 1925 in Wills Point to Willie B. McNutt and Bettie Furrh McNutt. He served in the Navy, was retired from Red River Army Depot where he was an inspector for 23 years, and was the Commander of the American Legion Post 422 from January 2000 – July 2004. He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, David "Butch" and Lori McNutt of Huntsville, Tommy and Hilda McNutt of Alto, Danny and Kim McNutt of Pittsburg, and Kenny and Nancy McNutt of Pittsburg; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Billy and Anna Harris of Kemp; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brothers, Eldridge "Bo" McNutt, Haskell McNutt, and Joe McNutt. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
