CAMP COUNTY - MAPLE SPRINGS CEMETERY James Guy Grady, Sr., 75, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at his home in Quinlan, Texas. James was born to Henry S. and Sally Grady on February 18, 1937 in Newton, Mississippi. He would meet and later marry Lavada Pritchett. To this this union was born two children, James Guy, Jr. and Jodi. James has been a permanent fixture in Quinlan for the last 38 years. He contracted with the county to drive the wrecker for this area and finally opened his own business. Grady Sand and Gravel has been part of Quinlan's business community for almost 30 years. James served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Army. He was also a beloved brother of the Trestle Board Masonic Lodge #534 for many years. James is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Sally; as well as eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Lavada Grady; son, Jimmy Grady and his wife Teresa; daughter Jodi Abdo and her husband Abram; granddaughter, Tyler Abdo grandsons Tarek Abdo and Tagan Abdo; brothers, Lilton Grady and his wife Faye, A. W. Grady; sister, Billie Usry; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors A gathering of friends and family be held Friday, January 18, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service with be held the following day, Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the same day at Maple Springs Cemetery.
