CAMP COUNTY - MAPLE SPRINGS CEMETERY Ravis Gilliam, 87, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016, at K’s Place Danbury, TX. He was born January 24, 1929 in Camp County, TX. He retired as Vice President of Allstate Erectors Inc. in Houston Texas and was a member of the Texas Iron Workers union. He was a Bible quoting Christian who loved the Lord. He enjoyed fishing, travelling in his RV with wife Bobbie, volunteering with Meals on Wheels, and studying the Bible. Ravis was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Molly Gilliam; spouse, Bobbie Nell Gilliam; brothers, Junior Gilliam and Thomas A. Gilliam; sisters, Fanny Ruth Gilbert and Mary Anne Truett. He is survived by daughters, Belinda Charpentier and husband, Jesse of League City, Cynthia Legg of Indian Harbour Beach and Yvonne Hajer of Melbonne, FL; brother, Maxie Gilliam and wife Mary of Pearland; brother-in-law, Bill Parnell of Clute; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., at Dixon Funeral Home, 2025 E. Mulberry in Angleton with Pastor Jeff Lege, officiating. There will be a visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Friday, February 26, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Maple Springs Cemetery, Hwy 11, in Leesburg, Tx. Final arrangements entrusted to Dixon Funeral Home of Angleton (979)849-8800.
