CAMP COUNTY - MAPLE SPRINGS CEMETERY Funeral services for James L. Comer, 91 will be held today (Thursday), February 15, 1997 at 3:30p.m. in the chapel of McCrary-Edwards-Cain Funeral Home with Rev. L.M. Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Maple Springs Cemetery. Mr. Comer, who had resided at 403 West Carnegie Street, Winnsboro, since 1952, died Monday, Feb 12, at his residence. James Lucius Comer was born in Camp County Texas to James and Della Smith Comer on February 9, 1888. He married Anna Laura Knight on August 23, 1908. He was a retired grocery store clerk and affiliated with the Baptist Church. His wife Anna Survives. Other survivors are one son, James D. Comer, Riverton, Wyoming, and two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Comer Jenkins, Orondo, Washington, and Mrs. Peggy Comer Barnes, Lancaster, Texas, five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. One daughter, Mrs. Edith Comer Green, preceded him in death. Pallbearers will be Cletus Hallman, Ronnie Knight, Jude Jordan, Dennis Nichols, David Crawford and Grandsons, Harold Green and Dan Comer.
