CAMP COUNTY - MAPLE SPRINGS CEMETERY


Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Laura Comer, 97, were held at l p.m. on Tuesday in McCrary-Edwards-Cain Funeral Chapel with Rev. Earl Duggins officiating.  Burial was in Maple Springs Cemetery.  Mrs. Comer died on Friday in Dallas. 

Mrs Comer was born on Feb., 16, 1890, in Wood County to James J. and Laura Johnson Knight. On Aug. 23, 1908, she married J.L. Comer, who died Feb. 9, 1979. 

She was a member of the Babtist Church.  She was a resident of Lancaster and a former Winnsboro resident.

Survivors include one son, James Comer, Riverton, Wyo.; two daughters, Peggy Comer Barnes, Lancaster, and Marguerite Comer Jenkins, Orondo, Wash.;five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren . She was preceded in death by one daughter, Edith Comer Greene.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Dan Comer, Harold Green, great- grandsons, Kelly Green, Mark Green, Chris Green and Lee Barron.
