CASS COUNTY - UNION CHAPEL CEMETERY HUGHES SPRINGS – Dorothy Helen Walker Brannon, 64, of Hughes Springs, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 in Tyler. Services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Rev. B.R. Hargest officiating. Interment will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of the Johnson Funeral Home of Pittsburg. Pallbearers are Jermaine Minnifield, Desmond Jones, Derrian Jones, Bobby Wooden, Jeremy Jones, Eric Walker, Kelvin Walker, and Warren Minnifield. Honorary Pallbearers are Kenneth Harris, Jr., Damon Walker, Reggie Walker, Pazadia Walker, Dontae Walker, Cameron Walker, DeKori Johnson, LaDedrick Johnson, Toborrance Murphy, and LaKedrick Johnson. Mrs. Brannon was born October 12, 1946 in Pittsburg to Buddie Lee Walker and Imogene Smith Walker. She is survived by her husband, George Brannon of Hughes Springs; five daughters, Mariel Annette Harris of Rosamond, Calif.; Demetrious Johnson of Hughes Springs; Umeke Johnson of Longview; Denise Smith and Teresa Williams both of Dallas; three sons, Reginald Walker of Edmond, Okla.; Patrick Johnson of Dallas; Kirk Walker of Pittsburg; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Myrtice Sterling of Houston; Janice Minnifield of Oklahoma City; and Tracie Jones of Pittsburg; four brothers, Gwayne Walker of Houston; Buddie Walker, Jr., Anthony Walker, and Dorscell Walker, all of Pittsburg; aunt, Fayrene Smith Harkey of Washington; two uncles, Roy Lee Smith of Long Beach, Calif.; Weldon Smith of Houston; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
