BARBARA CAROL BOLLING

Barbara Carol Bolling, 67, of Palacios died at her residence Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002.

She was born July 30, 1935 in Fort Sill, OK to the late Joe and Rhuie Lucille Hopkins Tafolla.

Mrs. Bolling was a resident of Palacios since 1948 and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She graduated from the University of Houston, Victoria and was a Certified Public Accountant. She retired from the Port Authority of Point Comfort, and was an accountant with Lacey Lowry Bookkeeping Service as well as operating her own accounting business.
Mrs. Bolling was an honorary and past president of The Harmony Club, member of and past president of the Alapha Club, member of the Palacios Library Board of Directors, member of and past president of the Friends of the Palacios library, treasurer of the Robert Duran Caring & Sharing Food Pantry Board, treasurer of The Palacios Beautification Committee, member of the Monday Night Bridge Club and was the newly elected Director of the Palacios Chamber Commerce.

Survivors include: 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Lucile Kay Wyatt of Dallas and Susan Carol and John Kopacz of LaWard; sister: Frances Ballard of Lawton, Ok.; brother: Bill Tafolla of Portage, Mi.; and a granddaughter: Kimberly Susan Wyatt of Dallas.

The funeral service was 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at the First Presbyterian Church of Palacios with Rev�s Janell Blair, Andy Blair and Charlie Parker officiating. Interment followed at Palacios Cemetery. Pallbearers were J. W. �Billy� Jenkins, Jr., Alan Huddleston, Lacey Lowry, Bill Stransky, Chipper Holt and Richard Meyer. Honorary Pallbearers were Joe Jenkins, Butch Bowers, Ralph Clements, Vic Kahlich, Fred Huitt and Robert Partain.

SHANNON PREJEAN

On Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 God took Tammy Lynn Shannon Prejean to help make heaven a more beautiful. friendly and happy place.

She will be there to greet us with a good word for all when we arrive.

Her mother, Frankie Denham Comiskey, her father Gene Shannon, her sister Vanessa Richardson, her grandmother Mary Denham and her step-father Ben Comiskey Jr. thank-you for celebrating her short but wonderfully meaningful life.

Tammy Lynn Prejean, 37, of Port Lavaca, was born Dec. 26, 1964 in Ganado, the daughter of Richard �Gene� Shannon of Victoria and Frankie Denham Comiskey of Port Lavaca. She was a communication specialist employed by Compaq.

In addition to her parents she is survived by a sister, Vanessa Kay Richardson, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was recited at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Burial followed in Port Lavaca Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dr. Cary Bielamowicz and son Michael Bielamowicz, Ernie Richardson, Steve Marvin, Steve Marwitz, Todd Denham and Byron Cumberland.

Honorary pallbearers were employees of EMS and MMC Home HealthCare, MMC nurses and doctors and the Relay for Life Committee.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Richardson/Colonial Funeral Home, 552-2988.

ROBERT ALLEN MORGENROTH

Robert Allen Morgenroth, 57, of Port Lavaca, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2002.

He was born Aug. 24, 1945 in Seadrift, the son of the late Frank Morgenroth Sr. and Lucille Bierman Morgenroth. He retired from Union Carbide with 25 years tenure. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. He served in the U. S. Army for three years in the C Battery 6th Battalion 20th Auxiliary at Fort Carson, Col. He was a rancher in Calhoun and Victoria Counties and a member of the Calhoun County Cattlemen�s Association. He was active in the Calhoun County Youth Rodeo Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dallen Clay Morgenroth; a sister, Frances Ortiz; and a brother, Frank Morgenroth Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Dana Shamek Morgenroth of Port Lavaca; a daughter, Shavauna Morgenroth of New Waverly; three sisters, Nigon Dierlam and Ida Ann Phillips of Seadrift and Irene Smith of Victoria; and a brother, James Morgenroth of Victoria.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 at Richardson/Colonial Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Clifford Grosenbacher officiating. Burial will be in the Six Mile Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ty Mayer, Tommy Henderson, Troy Milnar, Rayburn Haynie, Melvin �Scooter� Henke and E. �Junior� Friedrich.

Honorary pallbearers were Richard Meyer, Thomas Galvan Jr., Dinnie Billings, E. D. �Jack� Phillips, Eddie Henke, Raymond Grant, Donnie Helms, Walter Dierlam, Artie Henke and Louis Foester.

Richardson/Colonial Funeral Home, 552-2988, was in charge of arrangements.
