Mona Lynn Fields Rackley

Graveside services for Mona Lynn Fields Rackley, 50, of Port Lavaca, were held Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002 at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Gibbs officiating.

She died Nov. 11, 2002 in Port Lavaca. She was a retired banker and member of the Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rackley, her father, Jack Fields and grandparents.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Fields; sister and brother in-law, Denise and Ronnie Salena of Port Lavaca; niece, Jacklynn Salena; nephew, Allen Salena; aunt, Sammie Price of Victoria; and two aunts and uncles of Athens.

Mona will be missed by her family and many friends.

Raymond A. Rozner
Raymond A. Rozner, 71, of Edna, died on Saturday, Nov. 16.

He was born Oct. 30, 1931 in Ganado. He was the son of the late Anton S. Good and Angeline Biskup Good. He and his wife, Ella �Pat� Rozner of Edna married Nov. 18, 1952. He did mechanical maintenance, was a retired Alcoa employee, a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, was in the U. S. Army and a member of Steel Workers Union.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Rozner.

Survivors include four daughters, Theresa Marek of Edna, Linda Karl of Edna, Carol Biehle of Austin and Shirley Gloor of Houston; a son, Scott Rozner of Edna; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18 at Slavik Funeral Home. There was a rosary at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the funeral home followed by the service at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Michael O�Shaughnesay officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens of Edna.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Slavik Funeral Home, 209 North Allen, Edna, 361-782-2152.

Betty Lou Hostetler Whitman

Betty Lou Hostetler Whitman, 70, of Port Lavaca, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002.

She was born July 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Gilbert Hostetler and Mary Lou Benigar Hostetler. She was married to the late William Whitman.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Gilbert, William and Arthur Hostetler and a sister, Alice Benshoff.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Steve Kasper of Port Lavaca; a sister, Ada Sutter of Warren, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Jacquelynne Stracener of Austintown, Ohio, Nickiey Stracener and Billy Stracener of Port Lavaca.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Richardson/Colonial Funeral Home chapel with Chaplain Carolyn Cown officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Richardson/Colonial Funeral Home, 552-2988.
