Mary Roberts “Bobbie” Amsler
Mary Roberta “Bobbie” Amsler, 82, of Port Lavaca, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002.
She was born Sept. 21, 1920 in Cuero, the daughter of the late Robert Myers and Lottie Tevis Myers.
A longtime resident of Port Lavaca, she had two successful businesses and enjoyed her membership in the Port Lavaca Fraternal Order of the Eagles. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Lavaca.
Survivors include her husband, William Tell “Bill” Amsler of Port Lavaca; two daughters, Sherry Shaw of Hamilton and Tella Amsler of Victoria; a son, Bob Amsler of Needville; a half sister and three step sisters, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 in the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Gresham officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
