Oscar B. Perales
Oscar B. Perales, 75, of Port
Lavaca, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2003.
He was born July 21, 1927 in
Cerralvo, N. L. Mexico, the son of the late Perfecto Perales and Prota
Barrera Perales. He was employed by Alcoa and a member of the Cornerstone
Assembly of God Church.
In addition to his parents, he was
preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, Mario and Mariano
Perales; a sister, Maria DeLos Angeles Perales and brother Guadalupe
Perales.
Survivors include his wife, Ester Pena Perales of Port
Lavaca; daughters, Maria Elena Lopez, Elida Arriaga, Elsie Lara, Rebecca
Villarreal and Raquel Martinez, all of Port Lavaca; a son, Rene Perales of
Port Lavaca; sisters, Mercedes Pena of Victoria, Tomasa Rios of Monterey,
Mexico, Isaura Guterres of Cerralvo, N. L. Mexico, Maria DeLaLuz Zarate of
Robstown, Socarro Garcia of Monterey, Mexico and Margarita Olivares of
LaGrange; brothers, Raymundo Perales and Eutimio Perales, both of
Cerralvo, N. L. Mexico, Jose Maria Perales of Chicago, Ill. and Juan
Perales of Channelview; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 23 at the
Cornerstone Assembly of God Church with the Rev. David Ennis officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Assembly of God.
There will be a prayer service at the church at 7 p.m. Burial will follow
services Sunday at the Port Lavaca Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carlos
Lopez Sr., Richard Arriaga Sr., Joe Villereal, Leo Lara, Rene Perales,
Carlos Lopez Jr., Martin Aguagyo and Gilbert Ramirez.
