Jim C. Duke and J. H. Hyatt killed by Ed Reedy. February 6 Weather-fine Ed Reedy had prelimary trial, Bond fixed at $2000.00 Three burials Mrs. Denman, Duke & Wyatt, every store in town closed a sad day in Luling. March 29 John Leehan killed himself April 7 City Election J. E. Fisher, W. L. Ridout & Capt Foster candidates for mayor D. M. Day, ________, R. M. King & Keith William (?) candidates for aldermen. Greenwood died about 3:30pm of suppression of urine, following an operation for mastoiditis at San Antonio, TX, Dr. Burleson operated, Funeral at 1pm May 2 Baily & Autie Bailey Election____ ____the old town Bailey vote 122 in Autie Bailry vote 78 city delegates to county (May 2) May 4 J. M. Jackson died at 11:15pm buried by W.O.W. at 4:30 pm May 5, 1908. Jim lived 24 months 27 days after operation at N.O. May 5 Miss King died at l:30 am at Capt Foster's July 27 Jim Norwood hit on head by G.G. Jacobs July 28 Jim Norwood died at 1pm killed by G. G. Jacobs July 29 A. Dillard died at 3:50 pm October 6 J.
