Iona Lee NORRED, 95, a life-time resident of the Kingsland area, died Feb 7, 2006, at Llano Memorial Hospital just three days after her birthday.  Her family received visitors Feb 9, at the Chapel of Waldrope-Hartfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home in Kingsland.  A graveside funeral service was held Feb 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet County, officiated by Dr. E. David Henry, pastor of St. Peter's Luthern Church.

Born Feb 4, 1911, at the enchanted Rock area in Llano County, to David Amos Moss and Amzie Mae (Smith) Moss, she married Nolan Orley "Dump" Norred July 13, 1929, in Burnet.  She enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting, and spent time sewing, reading, and crafting handwork pieces including needlepoint projects.
             
She became widowed in April 1977 with her husband's death.  Also preceding her in death were both parents, and brothers Heyward Moss, Edward Moss, and John Gaines Moss.
            
Survivors include; daughter Nolene Norred and son Bobby Norred and wife Dorothy, all of Kingsland; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
