Andrew Jackson Kirksey was born May 29, 1815, in North Carolina and died October 1862, in Terrell County, Georgia.  He was the son of Elisha Smith Kirksey and Patience Harris.  On  December 11, 1838, he married Elizabeth Hendrick in Georgia.  Elizabeth was born November 16, 1817, in Georgia and died September 24, 1872 in Marion County, Georgia.
She is buried in the old Hendrick Cemetery near Buena Vista, and her marker is one of the few left that is still legible.  Although his actual burial site is not known, it is probable that Andrew J.
