Brewster County - Geographic Features Big Bend National Park Big Bend National Park stretches along the Mexican border on the Rio Grande and includes harsh desert lowlands as well as lush mountain woodlands. The rugged park is best seen by foot via the excellent hiking trails or by raft on the Rio Grande, but many miles of paved and unpaved roads also offer excellent access to automobiles.
