MRS. F. W. TURNER, BONNEY PIONEER, TAKEN BY DEATH
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Turner, 80, wife of the late
Frank W. Turner, prominent rancher and cattleman, will be
held at the Turner ranch home at Bonney at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Turner
died at 5:35 a.m. Friday at the Turner Clinic, 506 Caroline,
where she had been receiving treatment since last April.
Mrs. Turner was the mother of Dr. B. Weems Turner of 2047
Inwood, director of the clinic.
Mrs. Turner,
whose maiden name was Crause, was born in the old town of
Brazoria, on November 18, 1863. Her family came from
Germany and settled there in 1848. Mr. and Mrs. Turner were
married in 1883, making their home at the ranch near Bonney,
where they lived the remainder of their lives. Mr. Turner
died May 28, 1943. He was well known throughout the
Southwest cattle country.
Mrs. Turner is
survived by another son, Frank W. Turner, Jr., of Bonney; a
daughter, Mrs. Ophelia Turner Moller of Alta Loma; nine
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial will be
in the Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will include five
grandsons, Dr. G. Turner Moller and Arthur Moller of Corpus
Christi, Weems Moller of Alta Loma, Bynum Turner of Baytown
and Ben Turner, Jr., of Houston and Whitney Reader of
Houston. Geo. H. Lewis & Co. is in charge of the
arrangements.
