ANCESTORS TO PRICHARD-SHERRILL FAMILY

The following information was recorded 20 May 1967 by Jean Smith of Phoenix City, AL. It was obtained from Wilson County, TN, marriage records; Abel Sherrill and Annie Thomas were ancestors of Jean Smith; North and South Carolina Marriages; Wanda Clark; Abel and his brother, Samuel Wilson Sherrill were ancestors of Eudora Sherrill through William Thomas Sherrill. (They were also ancestors of the Prichard-Sherrill families through the same ancestor); These family dates were copied by A.T. Sherrill, deceased, 25 Nov 1961 from the Bible of Rufas Sherrill, ninth child of Abel and Annie and corrected by Jean Smith. Also at Christmas, 1990, Virgil Prichard wrote to change the name of Annie Thomas' father from Joseph, b. ca. 1727 to Jacob, b. 1742. His research revealed that Joseph was the brother to Jacob but not Margaret Brevard's husband. Also Margaret Brevard was born in ca 1754.
