This Indenture made this twenty fourth of March in the year of
Our Lord
one thousand eight hundred & six between John Farrier,
Nathaniel
Farrier, George Farrier, Robert Patterson, William Patterson
& Alexander
Patterson, heirs of Thomas Farrier, Deceased of the one part and
John
Watson of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John
Farrier,
Nathaniel Farrier, George Farrier, Robert Patterson, William
Patterson &
Alexander Patterson, heirs of the aforesaid Thomas Farrier Decd
for & in
consideration of the sum of four hundred and eighty dollars
current
money to them in hand paid by the said John Watson, the receipt
whereof
they John Farrier, Nathaniel Farrier, George Farrier, Robert
Patterson,
Wm Patterson & Alexander Patterson doth hereby acknowledge,
hath granted
bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain &
sell to
the said John Watson his heirs and assigns a certain tract of
land
containing by estimation three hundred and twenty acres, be the
same
more or less, lying in the County of Wilson on Stoners Creek and
bounded
as follows:
beginning at a black oak which is the southwest corner of the
tract the
said John Watson now lives on running thence East three hundred
& twenty
poles to a small sugar tree on Harrys Spring branch which is the
beginning corner of the tract that Blake Rutland now lives on
thence
South one hundred and sixty poles to a stake thence West three
hundred &
twenty poles to a white oak thence North one hundred and sixty
poles to
the beginning
together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and
to hold
the aforesaid track of three hundred and twenty acres of land to
the
said John Watson and his heirs and assigns to the sole use of the
said
John Watson and his heirs and assigns and the said John Farrier,
Nathaniel Farrier, George Farrier, Robert Patterson, William
Patterson &
Alexander Patterson, heirs of Thomas Farrier decd for themselves
and
their heirs the said tract of land with all its appurtenances
unto the
said John Watson and his heirs and assigns against the claims of
all
persons whomsoever will forever warrant and defend in testimony
whereof
we the said John Farrier, Nathaniel Farrier, George Farrier,
Robert
Patterson, William Patterson & Alexander Patterson, heirs of
Thomas
Farrier hath hereunto set their names and affixed their seals the
day &
year above written.
