This indenture made this twenty fifth day of June in the year of our
Lord one thousand seventeen hundred and ninety eight, between William
STANLEY of the County and State aforesaid of the one part and Blake
RUTLAND and Andrew DONELSON of the said County and State of the other
part --- Witnesseth that the said William STANDLEY for and in
consideration of the sum of two hundred and thirty four dollars to him
in hand paid the accepts whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and himself
fully satisfied hath granted bargained and sold aliened to the said
Blake RUTLAND and Andrew DONELSON and by these presents doth grant
[p.45] bargain, sell alien and ? conveyed to the sd Blake RUTLAND and
Andrew DONELSON one certain tract or parcel of land situated lying and
being in the county of Wilson and State of Tennessee it being part of a
tract originally granted to Aquilla SUGG. Beginning at the north east
corner of the survey of George A. SUGG No2769 Beginning at a dogwood the
north east corner of said Blake thence South 117 poles to a dogwood
thence west 320 poles to a dogwood thence North 117 poles sto the
original corner of said tract thence East 320 poles to the beginning
containing by estimation 234 acres to have and to hold the said tract or
parcel of land to them, the said Blake RUTLAND and Andrew DONELSON,
their heirs and assigns forever with all ? singularly priviledges and
appertenances thereto belonging and the said William STANDLEY, his
heirs, executors, and administrators, to warrant and defend the title to
the said bargained premices to them the said Blake RUTLAND and Andrew
DONELSON, their heirs and assigns forever against the legal claim and
title of all and every pardon or persons whatever.
In Witnessess whereof I the said William Standley hereto sets my hand
and seal the day and year above written.

indenture was proven by the oath of Joshua Kelley and a motion ordered
