In 1916 or 1917 this picture of Scotts Chapel School was recorded for just such a "look into yesteryear" as now. The picture was volunteered for our use by Mrs. Clura Scott Pigg., who identified the portrait subjects as follows: Small children in front row, left to right, J. V. Harper, Jessie Scott, Avron Stults, Mattie Pickard, Mearle and Pearl Shepard (twins), and Burl Shepard. Second row, left to right, Clora Gilchrist, Laura Martin, Clura Scott, Bessie Holt, Ethel McFall, Will Pigg, Houston Martin, Granville Harper, Clura Gilchrist, Zora Stults, Jettie Shepard and Linnie Shepard. Third row, Lessie Scott, Nettie Horton, Elsie Shepard, Bell Harper, Allen Holt, William Montgomery, Dick McFall, Rosie Rich, Roy Harper, and teacher Vergie Holt. Fourth row, Ed Pigg, Tony stults, Gladys Pickard, Clara Rich, Elmer Shepard, Clarence Shepard, Hattie Scott, William Bevis, and Hardin Rich.
