Received of Isaac Bledsoe one hundred pound Virginia currency in full payment for one negro boy named Tom about sixteen years of age, which boy I promise to warrant and forever defend against the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatever. Given under my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of September one thousand seven hundred and ninety.
