These are from early Sumner Co. residents. These are from early Sumner Co. residents. The document is a Power of Attorney for THOMAS MEADOR to his brother-in-law, JOHN GILMORE in VA. Apparently they were for the settlement of the Estate of JOSEPH GILMORE, father of the GILMORE boys and of FRANCES GILMORE MEADOR, Thomas Meador's wife. He was also the father of ELIZABETH GILMORE WEATHERRED, wife of JOHN WEATHERRED.
