Whereas on the 6th day of February, 1904, Adaline Bruce, John L. Bruce, Mary Everette, Celia DeLay and husband, Edward DeLay, Sallie Bruce, Willie Bruce, Cleva Bruce, Mary E. Bruce, G. W. Everett, Bessie Bruce and Lillie Bruce, executed a deed to Mrs. Maggie Jones for the consideration therein shown, which said deed is recorded in Deed Book 84, page 9 ROSC, conveying to the said Mrs. Jones
Thirty-Five of Forty acres of land as described in said deed. And whereas, the acknowledgments to the said deed were iregular in that they did not conform to the Tennessee Statute, prescribing the mannor of acknowledging deeds. And whereas, a portion of the said land belongs to R. D. Locke and is bounded and described as follows:

Beginning at black oak, Sanders and Swifts corner; th, S. 1 (degree) W. 54 poles to a stake in Combs north boundary line, with hickory and elm pointers; th, with Combs line S. 8-1/2 (degrees)E. 49 poles to center of the public road leading to Pole Hill; th, with said road N. 1-1/2 (degrees)W. 28 poles and 9 links to a point in road; th, N.
28-1/2 (degrees) W. 9 poles 6 links; th, N. 48-1/2 (degrees) W. 7 poles and 4 links; th, N. 4(degrees) E. 12 poles to the center of the road; th, N. 88-1/2 (degrees) W. 27-1/2 poles to the beginning, containing 15 acres, more or less.

Now therefore, in consideration of the premises aforesaid, for the purpose of curing the said defective acknowledgments, and for the consideration of $1.00 to us cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, we, the undersigned, John L. Bruce, Mary Everette, Cenia DeLay and husband, Edward DeLay, Sallie Bruce Valentine & husband, H. E. Valentine, Cleva Bruce Hicks & husband, h. C. Hicks, and Bessie Bruce, do hereby remise and quitclaim unto the said R. D. Locke, his heirs and assigns, all the right, title and interest which we each of us have, or have had in and to the said described tract of land. To have and to hold the said land unto the said R. D. Locke his heirs and assigns in fee simple.

Personally appeared before me, W. J. Galt, a Notary Public in and for said County and State, the within named H. C. Hicks and clevie Hicks, his wife, the bargainers, with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that they executed the winin instrument for the purposes therein contained. And Clevie Hicks, wife of the said H. C.
Hicks, having appeared before me, privately and apart from her husband, the said Clevie Hicks acknowledged the execution of the said instrument to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly, without compulsion or constraint from her said husband, and for the purposes therein expressed. Witness my hand and official seal, at El Reno, Okla. this 18 day of march, 1925

Valentine and Sallie Valentine, his wife, the bargainers, with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that they executed the within instrument for the purpose therein contained. And Sallie Vallentine,
wife of the said H. E. Valentine, having appeared before me, privately and appart from her husband, the said Sallie Valentine acknowledged the execution of the said instrument to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly, without compulsion or constraint from her said husband, and for the purposes therein expressed.
