In Pursuance of a Bond executed by James Roney in his lifetime to Thomas H. Bartin and transferred to Wm. Wilkerson, we Benjamin & James Roney Execr of James Roney decd do this day transfer and convey to Wm. Wilkerson his heirs and assigns forever for the consideration of One hundred dollars paid to the said James Roney a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Sumner County Tennessee in District No.18 & bounded as follows to wit Beginning at a small hickory with pointers in S.H. Turners West old line his South boundary, thence South 61 poles to a stake and walnut, thence West 75 poles to a black gum in Perkin�s line, thence South with his line 13 � poles to a poplar in Perkin�s line, thence East with Perkin�s line 142 poles to a ?? black oak his corner with pointers, thence So 3 West making a new line 80 poles to a small black oak, thence East 23 73 poles to a stake, thence North 93 poles to a black oak Kelly�s Northwest corner, thence East 22 poles to a black oak said Kelly�s North East corner, thence South 82 poles to a stake, thence East with a marked line 115 poles to a stake Pennans? Line, thence North 55 poles to a stake, thence North 83 � West 118 poles to a white oak one pole west of Kelly�s East boundary, thence North 4 � poles to a stake 1 poles North and One Pole East of Kelley�s North East corner, thence West 52 poles to a stake with pointers, thence North 61 poles to a down hickory in S.H. Turner�s old lie, thence West with his line 57 � poles to the beginning, Containing about 87 � acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the same to the said Wilkerson his heirs and assigns forever. We do covenant with the said Wilkerson that we have a good right as Execr of James Roney decd to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. We do further covenant and bind ourselves as Execr of the said James Roney decd to warrant and forever defend the title to said land and every part thereof to the said Wilkerson his heirs & assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever this 3rd day of Sept 1852.

Personally appeared before me John S. Bugg Clerk of the County Court of said County Geo D. Roberts & John Wilkerson subscribing witnesses to the foregoing deed, who being first sworn depose and say that they are personally acquainted with Benj Roney & James M. Roney Execr of James Roney decd the bargainers and that they acknowledged the Execution of the same in their presence to be their act and deed upon the day it bears date & for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at Office this 7th day of Sept 1852.
