TRANSCRIPT JOHN W. GILBERT TO BENJAMIN RONEY 70 Acres

I J. W. Gilbert have this day bargained and conveyed to Benj Roney all of my half title and interest that I have in and to this track or parcel of land lying in District No.18 in said county one of about seventy acres, known as the Wilson lands purchased of E. Toliver by Benj. Roney and myself one of ten acres purchased by us of E. Toliver Booth tracts value eleven hundred and twenty dollars, the said Benj. Roney having paid the purchase money. I therefore transfer all of the rite title and interest that I have in and to said lands for the consideration of five hundred and sixty dollars paid by the said Benj. Roney to said E. Tolliver for said lands the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. I also warrant and defend the title to all and every part of the said lands to the said Benj. Roney his heirs and assigns against all claims whatever in and through ____ ____ of said copartnership in said purchase. I also warrant the title to said lands against my heirs and representatives and all persons claiming them and under me given under my hand and seal this the 13th day of January 1866.

Personally appeared before me S. Hobdy clerk of the County Court for said County, J. M. Roney & W. T. Groves subscribing witnesses to the foregoing deed who being first sworn depose and said that they are acquainted with J.W. Gilbert the barganor and that he acknowledged the same in their presence to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at office this the 19th ay of May 1869.
