I Alexander Brown of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee have this day give to my Daughter Louisa Nokes & her heirs a certain town lot herein after mentioned located in the corporation of Gallatin & County of Sumner & State aforesaid described as follows bounded on the North by Smith Street on the East by Mulberry Street on the South by the lot that now belongs to Augustus Barber & Geo. Thompson and on the West by lot belonging to H. B. Vaughn, Said lot contains one acre more or less. To have and to hold to the said Louisa Nokes & her heirs in fee simple forever with all the appurtenances belonging thereto. And I do hereby covenant with the said Louisa Nokes & her heirs to forever warrant & defend said title against the claims of all other persons whatever. I am lawfully seized of said property and have a right to convey. Given under my hand and
