Mary J. Gardner Pass

The following record is a copy of the original pass issued by the Provost Marshal to Miss Mary J. Gardner, a daughter of Cullen Bryant Gardner, and the mother of Mrs. Walter Love of West Main St., Gallatin, TN. This pass, granted by the Union Army, permitted Miss Gardner to go within the Federal Lines, and is at present time owned by Mrs. Walter Love of Sumner County, who lives on West Main St., Gallatin, Tennessee.
