Cemetery, 8 miles from the town of Gallatin, TN. In yard of Old Bate home, owned by
Brimmage Bate, Castalian Springs.
(Note by DP: Book by Snider & Yorgason give the location as "1 mile north of Castalian Springs
on Rock Springs Road. Cemetery is on the east side of road in the yard of old Bate home.")
In memory of James H. Bate was born 25 Nov. 1804. Died 14 April 1842. 37 years, 4 months, 19 days.
