Following is a transcription of the above person's (TN) obituary from the Dickson County Herald  dated Thurs. Mar. 4, 1965:

     "Funeral services for W. T. GENTRY, 73, of 302 Spring Street, Dickson, are to be held Thursday at 3 o'clock p.m. in the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home, Rev. Carter ELMORE officiating, with burial in Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
     Mr. GENTRY died Wednesday February 24, in Dickson General Hospital after a long illness.
     He was a native of Dickson County, son of W. A. and Lucinda Carter GENTRY.  He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
     Surviving are his wfie, Mrs. Eudia GENTRY; three daughters Mrs. W. L. SMITH and Mrs. Alver JONES, both of Dickson, Mrs. Robert MAYO of Madison, Tenn.; two sons, William Edwin GENTRY of Park Forrest, Ill., and John A. GENTRY of Louisville, Ky.; three half-sisters, Mrs. Irma ENGLAND of White Bluff, Mrs. Ila ETHRIDGE of Nashville, and Mrs. Lottie Blackwood of Chattanooga."
