Last Will and Testament
of
William SWIFT
I, William Swift being of sound mind and disposing memory do hereby make and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all other wills heretofore by me made.
First: I will that all of my just debts be paid including my burial expenses.
Second: If I should die before my wife, Martha J. Swift, I will all of my estate of every kind to her for her use, benefit and enjoyment for and during her natural life. I want her to have the use and benefit of every thing that I own, including live stock, farming tools, and household goods as long as she lives.
Third: After my death and the death of my wife, Martha J. Swift, it is my will and desire and I do hereby will and bequeath to my daughters, Eniline Swift and Lizzie Swift all of the land that I own lying and being on the East side of Sulphur Fork Creek said land amounts to about 70 acres. These two daughters are single and I feel like since they have been with us all of their lives that they are entitled to this and in addition to the said 70 acres of land I will and bequeath to my said daughter Emaline Swift the sum of Three Hundred ($300.00) Dollars out of any money or property I may own at the time of my death, for her lifetime service to her parents.
Fourth: I will and bequeath to my grandson William Wiley Swift the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars and to my granddaughter Mary D. Baggett the sum of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars.
Fifth: The reminder of my estate not heretofore disposed of I will and bequeath be divided equally among my children named as follows: L. E. Swift; W. G. Swift; M. D. Swift and J. R. Swift and Ellen Crawford, however before said division of said property is made as to the remainder of my estate, I will that my daughter Ellen Crawford be charged with the sum of Three Hundred ($300.00) Dollars to my said daughter Ellen Crawford, then it is my desire that the remainder of my said estate be divided equally among my said children, lastly above named.
It is my will and desire that all of the real estate that I own shall be kept in my family, that is if they can not divide the land among themselves, then some of them sell their shares to some of the other heirs so as to keep the land in the family as long as they can.
It is my will and desire that my children shall divide my said property among themselves in a pleasnat and pleasing manner and that no feeling of friction shall ever arise among them and for them to keep my estate out of court and law as far as possible.
Sixth: I hereby name and nominate my daughter Lizzie Swift
and my son M. D. Swift as executors of my will and do not require any bond or security of
them and desire that they be not required to make any report or inventory of my estate to
any court.

The foregaoing last will and testament was produced in open Court for probate and duly
proven by the subscribing witnesses thereto. Thereupon
the Court ordered said will recorded as the last will and testament of Wm. Swift,
deceased.
