W. C. RANDOLPH Dies at Home Near Lyles

Respected Citizen of Fifth District goes to Reward After Prolonged Illness; Funeral Sunday

William Clagett RANDOLPH, 69 years of age and one of Hickman County's most prominent farmers, died at his home in the Fifth civil district near Lyles, on Friday evening.  A prolonged illness with dropsy, complicated with a heart affliction, had been suffered with infinite patience and the end was expected by family and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. I. B. Bradley, pastor of the Church of Christ at Dickson, on Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock, and interment followed at the Little Rock cemetery near the home of deceased.  A large crowd attended and the floral tribute was impressive.
Surviving are his wife, formerly Mrs. Lavisa Arrington BARNHILL; two sons, Elmer and Ellis RANDOLPH of Lyles; four daughters, Mrs. William R. COCHRAN of Nashville, Mrs. Lem PIGG of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. L. F. MCCASLIN of Lyles, and Mrs. William TICE of Birmingham; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Buck ANDERSON of West Tennessee.  He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Claiborne GOSSETT of near Lyles, and other relatives include a cousin, Sam NALL, of this place.
Mr. RANDOLPH was a successful farmer, a well-beloved citizen and a faithful member of the Little Rock Church of Christ.  His death has cast a pall of sorrow over the hearts of many who knew him for the many acts of kindness which characterized his daily life.
