Father Former Citizen Dies
Rev. W. H. LOVELL, aged 66 years, died suddenly at his home at Medina, Marshall County, on Thursday of last week. The remains were carried to Franklin, deceased having formerly served a charge in Williamson county, and interment followed at Mt. Hope cemetery, services being conducted at the grave by Rev. H. W. Seay and the Rev. Mr. Clements.
Deceased was the father of Joe W. LOVELL, former Hickman County agricultural agent and who married Miss Louise STEPHENSON, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C. V. STEPHENSON. Five other sons and a step-daughter survive with the bereaved wife and mother, who was formerly Miss Nellie FISHER.
For three years Mr. LOVELL had been stationed at Dover, Tenn., and was transferred to the charge at Medina when the annual Methodist conference met in Columbia in October. In the various communities in which he had served as a Methodist pastor, deceased was beloved by many friends who join the family in sorrow at the sudden death of the beloved leader.
