Thompson Cemetery Listing--Dickson County, TN

Directions: Take Yellow Creek Rd. (which is also called Hwy. 46) out of Dickson toward Erin.  You will pass Old No. 1 Rd.  Continue another .2 miles and turn left onto Thompson Rd.  Go .45 miles.   Cemetery is off the road to your left about 100 yards.  It is fenced in, and, as of this date, very overgrown.  (There could possibly be markers beneath all the growth that we could not find.)  This cemetery needs to be reclaimed, but please note that it is on private property.  Please be sure to get permission of the landowner before visiting it.  The  property owner allows absolutely no trespassing without permission.

Note: There are fieldstones and possibly unmarked graves.  Nearby was a yellow wood frame house that was torn down in the last year.  It was the old Thompson place.

Other Info: The stone is cracked through the birth date, the 12 and 7 were clear.  We could tell there were four digits after that.  The first of those four digits looked like a 1 (which makes sense, of course) and the last of those four digits might be a 7, but that is a guess.  The stone is in several pieces.  Note: The older listing of this cemetery in DCTCR indicates that the birth year was 1825.
