Married. T. E. MINYEA and Bettie MONTGOMERY
The old year came, flourished, and died. With its birth
came also the buddings of new joys and sorrows, and during its brief stay many a heart was
bowed in sorrow, sighing for the vanished hand and hushed voice of some loved one; while
many a home was made happy by the arrival of sweet infancy, and the union of fond, loving
hearts, consummating their plighted vows. Truly we can speak of one happy man--T. E.
MINYEA, who, on the morning of the 28th of Dec. led to the (illegible) alter the beautiful
and lovely bride, Miss Bettie MONTGOMERY, and there, in the presence of a few friends,
Bro. T. B. Reams, in a very impressing and eloquent manner pronounced them one. They
were attended by Miss Edna WILLIAMS and George LANGFORD, Mollie WINTERS and Calvin POWERS.
All were beautifully attired, and seemed to verify the adage, " It is good to
be here." The bridal party left immediately for Clarksville, where a grand
reception had been prepared for them at the residence of the groom's sister, Mrs. Jas.
SINGSING(?). They spent most of the holidays in Clarksville and vicinity and report
a grand time. Our best wishes for their health, happiness and success will follow
them.
