These are my (Vanessa Slea's)
grandparents: Mary Ella (Been) Slea & Ford Michael (Slough) Slea. Mary's parents
were Robert "Rob" Been & Josephine "Josie" (Wilson) Been. I
do not yet know the parents' names for Ford Michael, but I know he came from South Bend,
IN/Kalamazoo, MI area and changed his last name from Slough to Slea. He had a
brother named Ivan Slough (nickname Ivey or Ivey) who married Effie, and he had a sister
named Dora. Ford Michael's father was born on the boat as it came from Germany.
