Hickman County News Centreville, Hickman Co., Tenn. Thurs. Nov. 13, 1924 Young Girl Victim of Typhoid Attack Miss Mary Alice PRINCE, 16-Year-old Daughter of L. N. PRINCE, Dies at Family Home on Swan Miss Mary Alice PRINCE, lovely 16-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lon N. PRINCE of Swan, died at the family home on Tuesday evening, after three weeks of illness with typhoid fever which later developed an abcess of the brain. The patient had been unconscious several days, and the end was expected by the devoted family and many friends. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Camp Ground church on Swan, in charge of Rev. J. W. Dillard, minister of the Cumberland Presbyterian church near Mt. Pleasant, and interment followed at the church cemetery. Surviving are the parents; two sisters, Maggie and Clara PRINCE; three brothers, Elvis, James and Walker PRINCE, and hosts of friends including schoolmates of deceased who was a popular student at the Sunrise High school. Not in years has a death brought more profound sorrow to the hearts of the citizenship of the Swan community than in the passing of the beloved character, bright and cheerful, and her many admirable traits of character had endeared her to those who knew her. |
