Lovely Child Dies With Typhoid
Miss Lois Marjorie TOTTY, 12 years of age, died on Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie C. TOTTY at Tottys, after four weeks of illness with typhoid fever. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ at Tottys, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Elder Charles Tidwell of this place being in charge. Burial followed at the church cemetery, and pallbearers were Blake and Herman DUNCAN, Curtis BROWN, Louis COLEMAN, Lonnie BOND and Earl TOTTY.
The lovely young girl, whose death brings a mighty sorrow to the hearts of all who knew her, is survived by her parents; three brothers, Charles, Ewell and Cecil TOTTY; two sisters, Clara Sue and Irma TOTTY; paternal grandfather, L. P. TOTTY; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Josie ANDERSON, all of Tottys. As a student at the Tottys elementary school until the destruction of the building by fire several months ago, and later as a student at the Grays Bend school in charge of Miss Carmen CHANDLER, the bright and winsome child had endeared herself to all. The devotion of many, including Miss Minnie WILLIAMS and Miss CHANDLER, former teachers, was evidenced by the beautiful floral tributes and the lives of the entire community are saddened by the passing of the beloved child.
