Obituary for Karine CHAPPLE
Following is a transcription of the above person's (TN) obituary from the Dickson
County Herald, Dickson, Dickson Co., TN, dated Friday 12/17/1909:
LIittle Karine CHAPPLE.
This comminity sympathizes deeply with Mr. Lawson CHAPPLE of this
city in the death of his little daughter, Karine, whose sad demise occured at the home of
her grandmother on Bear Creek, nine miles south of Dickson, last Saturday evening, aged
two years. In the deplorable death of this little victim there is an unusual
sadness. Not long since, her mother died, leaving her in the care of her
grandmother. In the latter's home, last Friday, the little girl by some means came
in contact with a vessel of boiling lard, receiving injuries from which she died Saturday.
The remains were brought to this place last Sunday and interred beside those of the
mother, who so recently preceeded her to the Sweet City.
