The photo on the left is actually a photo of a tintype, taken by Stan Magnesen. The
tintype had been lacquered and when the lacquer aged it became cloudy. Obviously it
was in an oval frame. The photo on the right is the result of many hours of
digital enhancement on my (Vanessa's) part. When you get to this level of
enhancement, it becomes largely guesswork, art and intuition which is why the photo on the
left is here too.
