Henry W. DAVIS, Company E, 50th Tennessee Infantry:

Henry DAVIS enlisted in the Confederate States Army on Nov. 18, 1861 at Clarksville, Montgomery County, TN.  He was recruited by Capt. C. A. Sugg.

He enlisted for a period of 12 months as a Private.

H. W. DAVIS appears on a Company Muster Roll for Nov. 18, 1861 to Aug. 1, 1862, dated Sept. 22, 1862.  He is shown as absent with the remarks "Escaped after the fall of Donelson."

H. W. DAVIS appears on a Company Muster Roll for Aug. 1, 1862 to Oct. 31, 1862.  He is shown as absent with the remarks "Escaped fall of Donelson.  Absent still."

H. W. DAVIS appears on a Company Muster Roll to Feb. 12, 1863.  He is shown as absent with the remarks "Escaped after the fall of Donelson."

Henry DAVIS appears on a Company Muster Roll iin Tilton Ga. dated Jan. 26, 1864 with the remarks "Escaped from Donelson and hasn't reported."
