Berman H. MCMEEN Dies at Shady Grove
Berman H. MCMEEN, known many years as
"Ham" MCMEEN, died at the family home near Shady Grove on Sunday
evening following a short illness of pneumonia. The remains were
interred at the NICHOLS grave yard on Monday afternoon, following an
eulogy by J. B. WALKER, president of the First Nastional Bank here, and
friend and former neighbor of deceased.
Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Lura
NICHOLS; two daughters and two sons; two sisters and two brothers. A
son Brown M. MCMEEN was killed in 1918 in the late World War and the
remains brought to the old home for interment in 1922.
Mr. MCMEEN was a member of the Church of Christ
many years and was a highly respected citizen. He was 74 years of
age and had lived the greater part of his life in the community in which
he passed into eternity.
