Following is a transcription of the above person's (TN) obituary from the Dickson
County Herald dated Thurs. Mar. 4, 1965:
"Funeral services for A. B. LAMASTUS, 95, were held
Wednesday, February 24, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Dickson Funeral Home, Brother
John Lampley officiating, with burial in the Dickson Union Cemetery.
Mr. LAMASTUS died Monday night, February 22, at his home in West
Dickson at 204 Freeman Avenue, after a long illness.
He was a native of the Yellow Creek community of Dickson County,
son of George and Rebecca LAMASTUS. He had been living in Dickson for over fifty
years and before retiring had operated a public draying business here for a number of
years. He had been a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church for over 70 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dee Bruce Hardesty of Dickson
and Mrs. Bob Lawhorn of Nashville; two sons, John LAMASTUS of Dickson and Wesley LAMASTUS
of Murfreesboro; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren."
