This indenture made and entered into this the 17th day of February 1868 by & between Eligah Scott and Haggard & Durham both of the County of Marion State of Tennessee Witness that for and inconsideration of the sum of Four Hundars and Fifty Dollars by the said Haggard and Durham to the said Scott in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged that and do by these present bargain sell and convey to the said Haggard & Durham a certain parcel of land containing of One Hundard sixty acres be the same more or less situated in the said County on the South side of Tennessee River in Range Fifth West of Basis line Fractional Township and North and section 21 and South East quarter of said section of said quarter and all singular the heridtaments and appurtenances as thereunto belonging to the said Haggard & Durham his heirs forever i will warrant and defend from my heirs and all and every person whatever.
