This Indenture made this the sixth day of February, 1829, from Samuel N. Pryor of the County of Marion and State of Tennessee of the one part, and John Nelms of the County and State aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the said, Samuel N. Pryor for in consideration of the sum of 130 to him in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold unto the heirs, John (B) Nelms through Cannon Cooper, his heirs and assigns, a certain piece or parcel of land situated in the county of Marion in the State of Tennessee on the South East side of Sequatchie River containing 50 acres more or less, adjoining the land of Heiziah Ward, Andrew & Charlie Read, Scott Terry, and David Rankins, beginning at the Black Oak, the Northeast corner of a 10 acre survey of said Rankin, then with his line, North 74 poles to a stake & pointer on the South boundary of said Ward 100 acres survey then with the line of the same West 12 poles to pointers then North 19 poles to pointers said Wilson & Reads corner of their 160 acres survey, then West with the line of the same, 140 poles crossing the wagon road to pointers on the East boundary of said, Terrys and Rarkins 315 acre survey. Thence with the line of the same South 10 degrees, East 95 poles to pointers on the line of 16 acres survey of the said Rankin then with the line of the same East 36 poles crossing said road pointers on the West boundary of 50 acres survey of the same Rankin then with the line then with the line of the same North 66 poles to a Red Oak, thence East 74 poles to pointers then South 66 poles to a Spanish oak on the line of said 10 acres survey then with the same East to the beginning including the place where the same Nelms now lives together with its appurtenances to the same.

To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land hereby conveyed with its appurtenances to the said, John B. Nelms and his heirs or assigns forever & the said Samuel N. Pryor will forever Warrent and Defend the title hereby conveyed against the legel claim of himself and his heirs assigns but not against the claim or claims of any other person & persons whatever.

In Witness Whereof I, the said, Samuel N. Pryor, doth hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date first herein written.

Then was the foregoing deed of conveyance from Samuel N. Pryor to N. Nelms for 50 acres of land in Marion County and execution hereto duly acknowledged in open court by the conveyor and ordered to be Certified and Admitted to record.
